Tony’s shortlist
Fat Tony’s AI picks
1. Never Too Much
Fresh trial win by five lengths and the strongest race form, punters—hard to knock.
6. Sheza Professional
Terri Rae debutante won her 1200m trial smartly; the market’s waving a decent cigar.
5. Citala
Rail draw, blinkers on and a sharp trial second—she gets every chance, mate.
4. Tricory
Debut third had merit after working wide; maps to lead and can stick on.
8. Heavenly Rose
Trial form is tidy enough; roughie with a place punch if the tempo suits.

NEVER TOO MUCH (1) did not quite manage to win a race as a juvenile, but did manage to finish runner-up in the Welcome Stakes at Riccarton in April. He has gone the right way over his spell, and won a recent trial at Ashburton by 5 lengths. He should get the job done here fresh up. TRICORY (4) was solid on debut when finishing third at Riccarton just over 2 weeks ago, and with the natural improvement that is expected second up, she can figure in the top 3 again. GOLDEN UPGRADE (2) found that his last start had come too soon for him when dropping out to finish as the rear of the field. His Oamaru effort before that latest run was good, and he is worth another chance. CITALA (5) resumes from a spell that would have done her the world of good, and her tune up trial form has been improving. She has the pole, so keep her safe for all combos. SHEZA PROFESSIONAL (6) is a nicely bred filly making her debut from the powerful Terri Rae stable. She won a recent trial, so don't risk her.
