Tony’s shortlist
Fat Tony’s AI picks
6. Suavetta
Fresh South Island setup, light weight and this mob is softer than Tony's pasta.
8. Dujour
Wide alley is the knock, but she has the class and 55kg to run a big mile.
2. Avoriaz
Sharp enough fresh despite 1600m being short; claim makes her dangerous, capisce.
1. Flat Stanley
Drawn sweet and proven on soft; forgive the last heavy-track flop for a place.
4. Later Boy
Rail draw and home course give her a sneaky top-five chance, my friend.

Race preview
SUAVETTA (6) did not race up to expectations in the North Island through the winter, and she has since relocated to the South Island to make her debut from the Andrew Carston stable. She won't find many easier opportunities than this to rediscover some form, and we put her on top. DUJOUR (8) has had some tough trips from wide draws recently, and though she has copped another tough gate, she is good enough to bounce straight back into the money in this. AVORIAZ (2) resumes from a spell in the right sort of race, and though this trip is short of her best, she can still run into the top 3. FLAT STANLEY (1) has been mixing his form this year, and is just over 5 weeks between runs. Each way value. LATER BOY (4) has a home track advantage, and she is worth another chance.
