MARIKIT (4) resumes from a spell of ten weeks after closing off last campaign in good form, scoring at her last appearance over 2600m at this track. Expecting a bright start to the campaign. MONTARA (9) was without a win before displayed pleasing improvement last start to score by 5 metres over 2600m at this track four weeks ago. Will need a bit of luck negotiating a very wide starting position. Meets a comparable field and she can go right on with the job. BREWSTER BAKER (12) ended last prep with a seventh at Alexandra Park over 2200m six months ago. Can open this campaign with a more positive effort. MAJESTIC MONKEY (1) is next best and gets every chance from a favourable draw.
