Race context
Race preview
MARBLE ARCH (10) resumes. Last raced when 5.5 metres away in fourth at Ascot Park Raceway over 2200m four-and-a-half months ago. Ready for his return following a recent trial. Gets a soft run on the inside of the second line but may need luck at some point. Well-placed to open this campaign with a win. DANCE HALL GIRL (1) went well to finish second two starts ago then registered a comfortable victory last start, scoring by 6 metres over 1980m at this track. A nice draw on the front line should ensure a cosy run. Taking on a better field but she is capable of running another big race. CHEER THE CAPTAIN (4) is in the mix following a respectable third at his first run back over 2000m at Oamaru. VOLARE (2) last appeared when fourth over 1980m at this track six months ago. Must be respected. Something for the Multiples: QUICKER THAN QUICK (3)
