Tony’s shortlist
Fat Tony’s AI picks
7. Big Boy Thunder
Back on his preferred fast dirt trip; De La Cruz aboard and those local seconds are the right form, capisce?
9. Fancy Gentleman
The market fancies him for good reason—classy Gulfstream form, but the wide gate keeps him just below Thunder.
2. Mayweather
Fresh gelding with genuine dirt placings and a sweet inside draw; a serious slice of the exotics, pal.
4. Countthecarats
Second-up and proven at this track and distance; not flashy, but he can grind into the money at $15.
6. Gdoubleyou
Game Winner debutant is the unknown improver—$9.50 says there has been a quiet whisper around him.

Race preview
BIG BOY THUNDER (7) hit the frame two starts ago at this track but ran below par last time when sixth and beaten 10 lengths over 1609m at Horseshoe Indianapolis Turf (Turf). Goes up a rung or two but he is good enough to turn things around. FANCY GENTLEMAN (9) is a three-year-old colt who is having his first run for the Ethan W West barn. Hasn't raced since finishing fourth at Gulfstream Park (Dirt) six-and-a-half months ago. Not seen at the trials but looks well placed. Among the leading chances. HODL HARD (3) showed early speed from an outside draw last time then tired over the final stages to finish tenth, beaten 12 lengths, over 1106m at Ellis Park Turf (Turf). Can give a sight if at his best. MAYWEATHER (2) returns after nine months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a ninth over 1207m at Turfway Park (Synthetic). Good effort to launch last prep when in the money at Churchill Downs over 1207m. Solid top-three hope.
