PROTEUS (2) was sent out at long odds on debut, and ran above market expectations, finishing second by less than a length. He is bred to want more ground than this, but he can still have the last say here. On top, but don't expect another fancy price. CEASARS PALACE (1) was well beaten in the G3 Northland Breeder's Stakes here just over 2 weeks ago, after finishing third on this track prior to that effort. It's a more suitable target this time, so he can finish a lot closer. Each way. ENDLESS NIGHT (4) makes his debut off the back of an impressive trial win at Avondale last month, and his stable usually has a fair bit of success on this track. Watch closely. ROSSELLA (10) was not bad on debut after winning a trial, and she has won another of those since that run in late April. Stick with her.
