Tony’s shortlist
Fat Tony’s AI picks
1. City Wok
Two-from-two on this synthetic and rising through the grades sweetly—Fat Tony says he’s the banker.
4. Bella Chinkara
Lightweight, rails draw and Newitt aboard; chased City Wok home last time and is the danger.
2. Bellsprout
Three sharp trial wins say he’s wound right up; synthetic record is handy, so respect the fresh bloke.
3. Fierce 'N Fabulous
Gets in well after the claim and can box-seat from barrier three—sniffs a minor cheque.
5. Alpine Cowgirl
Better suited back to this grade and trip, but needs to find a few lengths—Fat Tony’s rough fifth.

Race context
Race preview
CITY WOK (1) is a former Victorian who has raced twice in Tassie for the new yard, both here, and won each. Scored over this trip last time and although rising a grade looks the one to beat again. BELLA CHINKARA (4) is fitter for three runs back and should be at top now. Placed this course and distance at the first try last time, behind CITY WOK and meets the winner 1.5kg better. Has a change of rider to Newitt and looks a real threat. ALPINE COWGIRL (5) has been out of the money recently but fitter for two runs back gets her chance to feature. BELLSPROUT (2) is yet to win fresh but has won three trials leading into this. Appears pretty wound up to run well. FIERCE 'N FABULOUS (3) is next best.
