MAGIC MERLIN (5) exciting gelding chasing his third straight victory. Settled midfield and rounded them up with ease over 1700m at this track with 60.5kg. Likely to go back early and will prove hard to hold out. KING JERRY (1) returned from a lengthy spell to salute first-up at Scone, then came to town with an eye-catching eighth over 1300m at Rosehill in Highway class. Ticks a few boxes here and no shock to see him take this out. FAN HARDER (3) is racing okay in Highway class and stretches out to the 1600m for the first time today. Trained locally and gets the right run from the draw. Can play a leading role. SUPER SUGOI (6) fitter now and deserves another chance out to this trip. Struck a bit of trouble at the start and never got into the contest when eighth over 1400m at Newcastle. Place preferred.
