Tony’s shortlist
Fat Tony’s AI picks
5. The Accelator
Two straight wins, carries a handy 56kg and that Katherine romp says he's the Cup horse, mate.
3. Alotta Dane
Track specialist with the fresh Kununurra win; well weighted and will be charging late.
2. Vevinsky
Forget the 2200m fade in the Broome Cup—back to 1800m suits this tough old campaigner.
4. Magarten
Nearly pinched it on the speed here last week; nicely weighted and right in the quinella mix.
1. Leveraged Buyout
Classy four-year-old, but 65kg is a suitcase; capable of muscling into the minor money.

Race preview
THE ACCELATOR (5) made it back-to-back wins in dominant fashion at Katherine last time out, running away to win by 6.8L. He rates highly on the back of that effort and the rise to 1800m for the first time is no issue. He's a winner at this course previously and looks the one to beat in the cup. VEVINSKY (2) disappointed last time out in the Broome Cup but was trending the right way prior. Coming back to 1800m now is no issue and the Broome Cup form has already been franked. Can bounce back to his best and feature in the finish. ALOTTA DANE (3) dropped back to 1600m last start at this track and trip last time out. Back out to 1800m now but that won't be an issue on his recent form. Won on the quick turnaround last start and can do the same again in this. MAGARTEN (4) wasn't beaten far last time out and can go one better. CAPITOL HILL (6) can recapture his best form and return to winning ways.
