Fat Tony’s AI picks
10. Yellow Jersey
The classy Dubawi gelding is primed off a sharp trial; Zahra gets him stalking the speed, capisce.
16. First Chorus
Fit as a fiddle, loves Caulfield soft ground and gets in with 54 kilos—serious player.
9. Just Folk
Shinn from gate two can control the tempo; the old campaigner thrives in the cut.
7. Barnavara
Real European class and Lane aboard; fresh is the query, but she has the engine.
14. Zahrann
Lightly raced improver with only 57 kilos; if the pace is genuine, he can nick a cheque.

Race preview
There's been plenty of hype around the resuming YELLOW JERSEY (10) who did a lot wrong when just nosed out in his local debut at Eagle Farm. He's been trialling very well leading in and 1700m looks a nice spot for him with the pace to sit on speed off shorter spell than most first-uppers in the race. FIRST CHORUS (16) is the fit and firing horse and they usually do very well in this race. Just got into a tricky spot last week as favourite but gets Mott aboard here and back up in trip looks to suit much better. JUST FOLK (9) has placed in his past three, sticking on gamely under 62kg last time behind the progressive Darkbonee. He'll take plenty of running down for Shinn. WOOTTON VERNI (6) just got going late in the Lawrence first up in a lovely return. Drawn wide and on a Caulfield Cup path so others probably have more intent but he should be charging home. Wary of BARNAVARA (7) who didn't fire in her local debut. Hard to gauge how she's going off some mixed trials but she's very good.
