ITAZURA (13) scratched last week after drawing wide. He was impressive winning over this trip first up at Flemington from back in the field, if he can hold a spot from the gate here he'll take beating. ASAKURA (8) struggled first up in the Listed Regal Roller Stakes over 1200m. He'd gone through the grades nicely last campaign with close up efforts behind Sixties and NZ star Well Written. Up in trip suits although the draw isn't ideal. RECUPERATO (16) broke through for a strong win here last time and has claims, STYLISH (4) is better suited to this trip with Shinn on from a good draw. HOME RULE (2) was much better last time and will be further improved.
