Open race. BLUE WILLOW (15) is the one that might still be on an upwards spiral, charging home off a good tempo two back then winning well last time at Sandown Hillside as a well backed favourite. Did get to the better ground there but gets in very light for Williams against a few that have been taking turns. FEDERER (8) got home very well fresh then had no hope second up to 2000m, a mile off them in a big field where they went very quickly. Third up now, drawn better, he can improve. There's been little between MAKDANE (2) and AMLETO (3) over the past few months. AMLETO went too quickly here last time and ran very well, MAKDANE may be slightly better suited at 1800m but both are right in this. JENNI MULTABELLA (14) closed off strongly last time, now takes on the boys up in grade but has upside.
