Tony’s shortlist
Fat Tony’s AI picks
2. Backside Buzz
Tony’s top dog—sharp sprint form, proven at the trip, and gets the ideal stalking run.
6. Clarely Tom
Track-and-distance specialist; forgive the last couple, he’s got enough zip to bounce back.
1. Chance
Honest old campaigner with gate-one speed; third-up is his sweet spot, capisce?
4. Smoke Wagon
Distance winner here and can grab a minor cheque if the pace gets hot early.
3. Soar Richard
Long-shot only, pal—recent figures are ugly, but he can sneak into fifth in this tiny field.

Race preview
BACKSIDE BUZZ (2) really dug deep to score by 0.3 lengths three runs back at Parx (Dirt) before filling a minor placing at his last two starts. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Will play a major role. CHANCE (1) showed good early dash last start and held on well to finish 5 lengths back in third over 1609m at Delaware Park (Dirt). Taking on a better field but he is capable of another big run. SMOKE WAGON (4) finished sixth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1673m at this track, beaten 14 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is up to the challenge. CLARELY TOM (6) ran well below his best last time over 1207m at this track (Dirt), beaten 5 lengths into fourth at $4.30. Should camp just off the leaders. Deserves respect on best figures.
