Race context
Race preview
ST ALBANS RAID (5) opened this prep last start with a second, beaten 3 lengths, over 1207m at Lone Star Park. Expecting a bold showing. AVALON GIRL (1) is in fine form and hasn't missed the frame in her past seven starts. Last time out she finished third over 1207m at Lone Star Park. Among the leading chances again. BOLTORO (2) was well in commission last time out but could only manage to finish sixth over 1408m at Lone Star Park (Dirt) in a disappointing performance. Yet to miss the placings in two starts over this course and distance. Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. SUPER ENTICING (3) was beaten 5.5 lengths into fourth in a 1308m contest at Lone Star Park eight weeks ago. Worth noting F Wethey Jr goes aboard. Better than recent efforts suggest.
