Race preview
JOY OF SPRING (1) has been just fair in recent efforts, but has had some excuses as he lines up over 2000m for the first time now. Bowman hops on board and his may be his sweet spot. Best form stacks right up in this field and with a touch of luck, he can get back to winning ways. SHAMUS STORM (11) finished off nicely from midfield to end up 1.8L off the winner last start at Happy Valley. His run here the start prior was inconclusive, though he did jump favourite and that carries plenty of weight. Purton rides now and a forward showing is on the cards. NUCLEOZOR (9) steps out to this trip for the first time, though he looks suited by the extra journey. Teetan and Crawford combine again from an inside barrier and he can end his winning drought here. ENTHUSIUM (5) is racing in good order and boasts a win at this track and trip just two starts ago. Can get back to winning form now.
