Race preview
FINAL PROMISE (2) is a newcomer to the Brian Portelli yard from Victoria where he was last seen finishing fifth at Ballarat seven weeks ago. Readied with a trial win here and is well served by the low draw. BETWEEN DECKS (3) showed good improvement second-up when he led from this barrier and kept going for a maiden win at this circuit and distance last week, getting home by more than 6 metres. Could go through his grades. GO TESS GO (4) drew on the back row and was held up when beaten only 5m last week. Came from this barrier for a Newcastle win prior. Worth another chance. DYNAMITES BEST (6) was midfield from a similar barrier last start and did a good job for second two back at Goulburn.
