A little history of The Curragh

The first recorded meeting at the Curragh took place in 1727, although racing traditions on the plains are much older. The racecourse now hosts all five Irish Flat Classics.

What to look for in the form

The broad, galloping course offers straight and round-course racing with an uphill finish, generally giving high-class horses room to show their ability.

Fat Tony says: Track knowledge helps, but it never replaces current form. Compare today’s distance, surface, draw and likely pace before making a call.
