Know the course

A little history of Leopardstown

The course opened in the late nineteenth century and was modelled on Sandown Park. Its dual-purpose calendar now links elite summer Flat racing with major winter jumps meetings.

What to look for in the form

The left-handed circuit and relatively short run-in make tactical position significant, while jumping efficiency becomes crucial during the winter programme.

Fat Tony says: Track knowledge helps, but it never replaces current form. Compare today’s distance, surface, draw and likely pace before making a call.
